Hypothetically the history of landscape and of media are intertwined, what happens to a landscape when it is framed through a different medium? Will its meaning change? Is an approximation to the representation of temporarily and the past possible?
The display of landscape derives from painting. Film, however, brings it into motion, determines how long it is supposed to be watched, and may try to break the iconographically charged views, challenge, through montage and contextualization.
The literary level on the soundtrack is a reference to landscape descriptions of Austrian writers during the 1930/40s. It brings in narration, where landscape reaches the limits of mediation.
